Core Security Features

Kill Switch

Blocks all internet if VPN disconnects. Prevents accidental exposure of your real IP.

DNS Leak Protection

Encrypts all DNS queries through VPN tunnel. No leaks to your ISP.

IP Masking

Hides your real IP address. All websites see only the VPN server IP.

Split Tunneling

Choose which apps use VPN. Keep banking apps on regular connection.

1

Enable Kill Switch

Go to Settings > Security > Kill Switch and toggle ON. This prevents data leaks if VPN drops.

2

Enable DNS Protection

Turn on DNS Leak Protection in security settings. Use OrbVPN's secure DNS servers.

3

Configure Split Tunneling

Add banking and local apps to bypass VPN. Keep sensitive browsing through VPN.

4

Use Strong Protocol

Select WGuard or Reality for maximum encryption. Avoid VLESS for sensitive activities.

5

Enable Auto-Connect

Set VPN to connect automatically on untrusted networks like public WiFi.

Maximum Security

For maximum protection: Enable Kill Switch + DNS Protection + Use WGuard Protocol + Disable Split Tunneling.

Privacy Protection Levels

Maximum

Kill switch ON, no splits, WGuard protocol, custom DNS

Standard

Kill switch ON, basic splits, any protocol, auto DNS

Custom

Configure each setting based on your specific needs

Leak Prevention

Protect against all types of data leaks:

DNS Leak Prevention

All DNS queries routed through encrypted VPN tunnel. Use custom secure DNS servers.

IP Leak Prevention

Kill switch blocks all traffic if VPN fails. WebRTC protection included.

IPv6 Protection

IPv6 traffic blocked or routed through VPN. No dual-stack leaks.

WebRTC Blocking

Prevents browser WebRTC from revealing your real IP address.

Testing Your Security

1

DNS Leak Test

Visit a DNS leak test site while connected. All results should show VPN server location.

2

IP Leak Check

Check your IP on whatismyip.com. Should show VPN server IP, not your real IP.

3

WebRTC Test

Test WebRTC leaks in your browser. Your local IP should not be visible.

4

Kill Switch Test

Disconnect VPN manually. Internet should stop working if kill switch is enabled.

Regular Testing

Test your security monthly or after any VPN updates to ensure all protection features are working correctly.
