Connection Management

Overview

This guide provides detailed instructions for managing VPN connections within the application. The VPN features allow you to connect securely to different locations using various protocols. The screens include states for connection idle, connecting, connected, and error.

VPN Protocols Description

  • Cisco: A protocol known for its robust security and encryption, commonly used in enterprise environments.
  • Reality: A newer protocol focusing on high performance and low latency for real-time applications.
  • VLESS: A lightweight and flexible protocol designed for faster and more efficient connections.
  • SSTP: Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol, used for establishing secure point-to-point connections.

Connection Idle Screen

This screen shows the initial state where no VPN connection is active.

Components of the Connection Idle Screen

Status:

  • Not Connected: Indicates that no VPN connection is currently active.
  • Idle: Shows the current state of the VPN (inactive).

Location:

  • Location: Displays the current location selected for the VPN (e.g., Italy, Rome).

Connection Types:

  • Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP: Tabs for selecting different VPN protocols. The active protocol is highlighted (e.g., Cisco).

Connect Button:

  • Power Icon: Tap the large power icon to initiate a VPN connection.

Navigation:

  • Connect, Locations, Devices, Settings: Bottom navigation tabs for accessing different app features.

How to Use the Connection Idle Screen

  1. Select Protocol:

    • Tap on the desired protocol tab (Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP) to choose your VPN protocol.
  2. Connect to VPN:

    • Tap the large Power Icon to connect to the VPN using the selected protocol.
  3. Navigate the App:

    • Use the bottom navigation tabs to explore other sections of the app like Locations, Devices, and Settings.

Connection Connecting Screen

This screen shows the status while the VPN is attempting to establish a connection.

Components of the Connection Connecting Screen

Status:

  • Connecting... Indicates that the VPN is in the process of establishing a connection.
  • 00:00:00: Timer showing the connection duration, starting from zero.

Location:

  • Location: Displays the location for the VPN connection (e.g., Italy, Rome).

Connection Types:

  • Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP: Tabs for different VPN protocols. The currently selected protocol is highlighted (e.g., VLESS).

Connect Button:

  • Animated Power Icon: Indicates that the connection is in progress.

Navigation:

  • Connect, Locations, Devices, Settings: Bottom navigation tabs for accessing different app features.

How to Use the Connection Connecting Screen

  1. Monitor Connection:

    • Wait while the VPN establishes a connection. The animated power icon indicates an ongoing process.
  2. Cancel Connection:

    • If needed, tap the Power Icon again to cancel the connection attempt.
  3. Navigate the App:

    • Use the bottom navigation tabs to explore other sections of the app like Locations, Devices, and Settings.

Connection Connected Screen

This screen shows the status when the VPN connection is successfully established.

Components of the Connection Connected Screen

Status:

  • Connected: Indicates that the VPN connection is active.
  • 00:32:16: Timer showing the duration of the active connection.

Connection Details:

  • IP Address: Displays the assigned IP address (e.g., 178.32.34.54).
  • Upload Speed: Shows the current upload speed (e.g., 2.10 mb/s).
  • Download Speed: Shows the current download speed (e.g., 3.34 mb/s).

Location:

  • Location: Displays the connected location (e.g., Italy, Rome).

Connection Types:

  • Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP: Tabs for different VPN protocols. The active protocol is highlighted (e.g., Cisco).

Connect Button:

  • Power Icon: Tap the power icon to disconnect from the VPN.

Navigation:

  • Connect, Locations, Devices, Settings: Bottom navigation tabs for accessing different app features.

How to Use the Connection Connected Screen

  1. Monitor Connection:

    • Check the IP address, upload, and download speeds to verify the connection.
  2. Disconnect VPN:

    • Tap the Power Icon to disconnect from the VPN.
  3. Navigate the App:

    • Use the bottom navigation tabs to explore other sections of the app like Locations, Devices, and Settings.

Connection Error Screen

This screen shows the status when there is an error establishing the VPN connection.

Components of the Connection Error Screen

Status:

  • Error: Indicates that there was an issue connecting to the VPN.
  • Idle: Shows the current state of the VPN (inactive).

Location:

  • Location: Displays the location for the VPN connection (e.g., Italy, Rome).

Connection Types:

  • Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP: Tabs for different VPN protocols. The problematic protocol is highlighted (e.g., Cisco).

Connect Button:

  • Power Icon: Tap the power icon to attempt reconnection.

Navigation:

  • Connect, Locations, Devices, Settings: Bottom navigation tabs for accessing different app features.

How to Use the Connection Error Screen

  1. Review Error:

    • Check the status and protocol to understand where the issue occurred.
  2. Retry Connection:

    • Tap the Power Icon to retry connecting to the VPN.
  3. Navigate the App:

    • Use the bottom navigation tabs to explore other sections of the app like Locations, Devices, and Settings.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection Issues: Ensure your internet connection is stable. If issues persist, try selecting a different protocol or location.
  • Speed Problems: Check your network for any bandwidth limitations or interference.
  • App Crashes: Restart the app or your device if you encounter frequent crashes.
