Settings Management

Overview​

This guide provides detailed instructions for navigating and utilizing the settings section of the application. The settings allow you to manage your account, billing, security, app preferences, and more.

Settings Screen​

The Settings screen is the central hub for managing your OrbVPN app's configurations.

Components of the Settings Screen​

  • Profile:

    • User Details: Displays User ID, Loyalty, and Email.
    • Editable Fields: Name, Phone, Address, and Birthday can be edited by tapping on each field.

  • Billing:

    • Subscription Info: Shows subscription details including Expiration Date and Devices count.
    • Renew Subscription: Tap Renew to extend your subscription.

  • Password & Security:

    • Change Password: Tap to change your account password.
    • Face ID/Fingerprint: Toggle to enable biometric authentication for added security.

  • Protocol:

    • Protocol Selection: Choose the desired VPN protocol (e.g., Cisco, Reality, VLESS, SSTP).

  • Zeus Bridge:

    • Country Selection: Choose a country to connect through a server in that country to your selected VPN location. Useful for bypassing internet restrictions.

  • Server Sorting:

    • Sorting Method: Select how you want to sort VPN servers (e.g., Continental).

  • Excluded Apps:

    • App List: Apps added here will bypass the VPN when it's connected.

  • On Demand Apps:

    • App List: Apps added here will trigger the VPN to connect when they are used.

  • Concierge:

    • Support Tools: Access chat support and other help resources.

  • Learn:

    • FAQs: Browse frequently asked questions about OrbVPN.

  • Legal & Regulatory:

    • Legal Information: View terms of services, privacy statement, and other legal documents.

How to Use the Settings Screen​

  1. Edit Profile:

    • Tap Profile to update your name, phone number, address, and birthday. Tap each field to edit.

  2. Manage Subscription:

    • Tap Billing to view your subscription details and renew if necessary.

  3. Change Security Settings:

    • Tap Password & Security to change your password or enable biometric login.

  4. Select Protocol:

    • Tap Protocol to choose your preferred VPN protocol.

  5. Configure Zeus Bridge:

    • Tap Zeus Bridge to select a country for special routing needs.

  6. Sort Servers:

    • Tap Server Sorting to choose your preferred server sorting method.

  7. Exclude Apps from VPN:

    • Tap Excluded Apps to add or remove apps that should bypass the VPN.

  8. Enable On Demand VPN for Apps:

    • Tap On Demand Apps to add apps that should trigger the VPN when used.

  9. Access Support:

    • Tap Concierge to chat with support or use support tools.

  10. Learn About OrbVPN:

    • Tap Learn to read FAQs and other informative articles.

  11. View Legal Information:

    • Tap Legal & Regulatory to access terms, privacy policy, and other legal notices.

Profile Section​

Manage your user information, including editable fields for personal details.

What Each Field Means​

  • User ID: A unique identifier for your account within the OrbVPN system.
  • Loyalty: The duration of your continuous use of OrbVPN, which may influence discounts or special offers.
  • Email: The email address associated with your account. This is also your Orb ID used for logging in.

How to Edit Profile​

  1. Name:

    • Tap the Name field to edit your first and last name.
    • Edit Name

  2. Phone:

    • Tap the Phone field to edit your phone number. Ensure to include the country code.
    • Edit Phone

  3. Address:

    • Tap the Address field to edit your street, city, country, and postal/zip code.
    • Edit Address

  4. Birthday:

    • Tap the Birthday field to edit your date of birth. Use the date picker to select your birthday.

Billing Section​

View and manage your subscription details.

Components of the Billing Section​

  • Subscription Info: Shows the duration of your subscription (e.g., 3 Years).
  • Expiration Date: Displays when your subscription expires. If expired, it will be highlighted.
  • Devices Count: Indicates the number of devices currently active under your subscription.
  • Renew Button: Tap Renew to extend your subscription.
  • Start Date: The date your current subscription period began.
  • First Login: The date you first logged into the OrbVPN app.
  • Credit Paid: The amount paid for the current subscription period.
  • Provider Name: The name of the VPN provider (OrbVPN).

Password & Security Section​

Manage your password and security options.

How to Use Password & Security​

  1. Change Password: Tap to update your password.
  2. Enable Face ID: Toggle to use Face ID for authentication.
  3. Enable Fingerprint: Toggle to use fingerprint for authentication.

Protocol Section​

Choose your preferred VPN protocol for connections.

Protocol Types​

  • Cisco: Known for robust security and used in many enterprise environments.
  • Reality: Focuses on high performance and low latency for real-time applications.
  • VLESS: A lightweight and flexible protocol designed for faster and more efficient connections.
  • SSTP: Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol, used for establishing secure point-to-point connections.

How to Select Protocol​

  1. Select Protocol: Tap to choose from available protocols such as Cisco, Reality, VLESS, or SSTP.

Zeus Bridge Section​

Configure special routing to connect through servers in different countries.

How to Use Zeus Bridge​

  1. Select Country: Tap to choose a country for special routing. This connects to a server in the selected country and then routes to your chosen VPN location.
    • Useful for bypassing internet restrictions where only local intranet is available.

Organize your server list according to your preferences.

How to Sort Servers​

  1. Choose Sorting Method: Tap to select sorting criteria like Alphabetical Order, Continental, etc.

Manage apps that should bypass the VPN.

  1. Add Apps: Tap Add to choose apps that should not use the VPN.
  2. Remove Apps: Swipe left on an app and tap Remove to take it off the exclusion list.

  • Issues with Profile: Verify your input data. Ensure correct formats for phone numbers and dates.
